MA work

I am interested in capturing the spontaneity of life through direct, instinctive drawing. My series of figurative illustrations for Ovid’s Metamorphoses attempts to combine the beauty of real life with the peculiarities of a mythological world. Sketching people around London has made me realise how selective and incomplete our experience of life is. My aim in my illustration is to echo this momentary outlook by balancing the seen and the unseen, to suggest questions and engage the viewer’s imagination.
