Struggle, David Roche
Ink drawing on bamboo paper
Underpinned by careful drawings my work explores the fragility of mankind. Men in suits loom in the background scrambling for power as blind people lead each other down winding paths lined with signs. Some of these drawings are then built into houses of cards, where each image is a carefully drawn idea used to prop up another, but the vulnerable structure constantly threatens to topple or fall to pieces.
