'Update' is a digital poster for updatable information, it is constantly connected to the internet and it is so light and thin that can be placed everywhere without screws nor cables.

Through an exploration of new opportunities offered by technological advancements, this device is a response to the increasing importance of digital information and data consumption in our lives.

By providing a medium specifically designed for displaying static but updateable digital information, my project questions the limits of visual information media that we commonly experience in domestic and public spaces (poster, frames, boards, pictures, etc.).

This new device takes advantage of extremely energy efficient ePaper technology, is constantly connected to the internet and is not hindered by cables. The hardware and the software have been designed in parallel in order to reach the best integration between the two, not only to create an object but also a platform for services. The interface of the poster is in fact customizable with the information that is most relevant to you. From health and fitness data, to infographics, to news headlines, to social network posts, these are only few of the possibilities which this tool can enable.
