MA work

LIVE, LIVE, LIVE

LIVE, LIVE, LIVE [The Breakup] is the outcome of an on going research project, looking into the news media outlets and their agencies. The work is to be seen as an exploration of the language of the news, textual as well as visual, from an alternative perspective than that of a (traditional) journalistic practice. It is an attempt to highlight areas which might not be apparent to the naked eye or defined by the industry, by means of subjective, creative, and visual narratives. It is to be considered as a stepping-out of the journalistic cycle of critisism in order to slow things down and essentially explore the materiality and the truth embedded in this information.

  • With an interest that lies in between the notion of truth and a materiality of information, I’m exploring the capabilities and potential powers of perception and context of the news outlets today.

In our current world with very few limits and an endless strive for a faster and better yesterday, I believe that slowing things down is essential for us to really understand what is actually happening and the ramifications of our actions.
