Somatoparaphrenia

This collection titled Somatoparaphrenia is an exploration into personal expressions and distortions of the male body. Through techniques of joining garments I have developed clothing in which the items themselves can be worn in several different ways. The wearer then chooses how to distort or manipulate their own body. This is reinforced with fabrication techniques that provide a sense of subcultural aggression.

  • Menswear designer with a darker aesthetic exploring the male form. Specialising in creative cutting and fabrication techniques to explore distortion and confusion.

I am interested in the way the wearer perceives clothing and the relationship it has to the body; the ways it can either aid or distort or enhance.
