Mindscape

When do you get your eureka moments? Going for a walk, fidgeting with something, or just changing your environment can be an effective catalyst when thinking through a problem. When we detach ourselves from the workplace through these background activities, our minds free up for subconscious thought in a process termed ‘reflection-out-of-action’. Mindscape is a virtual experience that aims to facilitate these processes in a more conscious way to revolutionise our daily work-flows while providing a new dynamic way to visualise and explore your own and other's ideas.

  • My approach is all about playful design interventions; twisting everyday contexts in order to make our existing interactions a little more fun. With this mindset, my current work asks how this can be achieved through the application of interactive media, aka video games. For example, Mindscape is a virtual ideation tool that takes inspiration from games such as Minecraft, and Minimap is a new way to navigate cities that applies mechanics from series such as The Legend of Zelda and Grand Theft Auto.
