Damian Kapojos
MA work
MA work
I regard life and art as a surprising transaction (in Dutch we say ‘orgy’), in which I see the subtle and the extreme swirling in and out of one another. Among others, I am interested in Auguste Rodin, the dancer Vaslav Nijinsky and the writer Simone Weil. I am a sculptor, martial artist and dancer and I try to take a next step in combining these art forms. In these disciplinary cross-overs I use the following subjects:
- the opposition between east and west
- the opposition between classical and modern
- sensuality
- aesthetics
- religion
- sexuality
- art history.
