MA work
MA work
This piece is inspired by ideas and questions that arose from a career as a fountain designer. My aim is to design a bathing experience focused on the emotional and physical benefits of bathing, a ritual that creates an alternative approach to current bathing routines. Important influences include cultural attitudes towards bathing in Japan, Central Europe and Muslim countries, as well as the concept of the confirmation of the physical self through touch expressed in the work of Helio Oiticica and Ernesto Neto.
On leaving the RCA I look forward to working at Herzog & de Meuron and making fountains.
