Growing up I witnessed and experienced how difficult it was for my uncle’s family to cope with my cousin who has severe mental disabilities. As he got older and physically stronger, I became aware of the challenges they faced on a daily basis.
From the moment of entering a vehicle to the journey itself, there was always a struggle and my cousin’s violent and erratic behaviour resulted in my uncle regularly having to get the car fixed or changed.
My intention was to design a vehicle that will not only make life easier for families that have a family member with special needs, but also one that will engage the average family.
