The project ‘Valkyrie’ will show that a sculptural shape, derived from deconstruction in architecture, could be realised, creating a new hull form and innovative technology. The trimaran hull is more stable, energy-efficient and could provide more space on the afterdeck, as well as opening up a variety of exciting possibilities for exterior design. This is due in part to the increased hexagonal space generated by the sponsons, compared to that of a simple rectangular space from a monohull. The benefits could maximise interior space and also allow for a beautiful exterior.
