The Office of Public Ritual designs bespoke secular rituals for personal, group or public use. Some examples of possible rituals include:
Civil unions, weddings or anniversaries; divorce/separation,reconciliation; opening/closing events (sports, corporate AGMs, festivals, parades, lighting, etc.; rites of passage: graduation ceremonies, significant birthdays, puberty parties; good luck or bon voyage occasions; new home /new business; naming; marking loss or grief: memorials and vigils; marking change: emotional, physical, social; illness/recovery; child adoption or birth; marking success or failure; friendship; observing seasons or time: midwinter, midsummer, astronomical phenomena (eclipses of sun or moon, aurora, meteor shower); coming out or any form of self-disclosure; developing a daily or yearly routine; birthday or non-birthdays; closure / moving on.
