MA work
MA work
My work is an exploration of the proximities of hand and digital, the traditional and contemporary, collating both handcrafted and machine made processes into a library of tools. I use my practice to explore and understand the visual world around me. Working intuitively, reacting and exploring, my work builds itself, unplanned and unexpected; spontaneity is key. Drawing, printing and embroidery at its heart, I explore these processes in depth to establish a bold and distinct aesthetic. Using a nonlinear method, I interchange between each process to create designs centered around the word experience. Taking inspiration from elements that catch my attention within the environment, cycling and travelling through different spaces, I create abstract pieces for the body.Â
