Mindscaper

Mindscaper, a reflexive thinking practice with a software interface that visualises one’s subconscious perceptions. Mindscaper aims to provide a tangible, accessible mental model updates for the practitioners by informing the limits of the mental models, and where they situate in the bigger picture of the society. The design process of Minscaper demonstrates how today's designers facilitate and catalyse paradigm shifts towards a more sustainable society.

  • Design as a facilitator of paradigm shift

I am curious about how the world works – with the heart of explorer and brain of the artist, I steered my education from physics to design – from learning about the observed nature, to the working of the complex human world. This master's course is my opportunity to reflect on the social dimension of scientific knowledge, and establish my design practice at the interface of science and society. My graduation design work involves deconstructing anthropocentrism and transcending mechanistic paradigm at the level of perception through experimentation, co-creation, and data visualisation.
