Virtual Reality Game
Virtual Reality GameÂ
Virtual Reality Game uses boredom to interfere with the escapism brought about by Virtual Reality. I offer a different type of VR experience that questions expected norms of over-stimulation and over-information, challenging the spaces and settings offered by game developers. An EEG headset measures a player's boredom level—the more bored the player, the more points rewarded.Â

My project uses boredom to interfere with the escapism brought about by Virtual Reality. I offer a different type of VR experience that questions expected norms of over-stimulation and over-information, Â challenging the spaces and settings offered by game developers. Why do we expect to be so highly stimulated by VR? What happens when minimal information is added to the experience?
I questioned:
What would a boring VR experience be?
How could I make someone bored in VR?
How could I draw attention from a typical 'high-tempo' VR experience.Â
The final product is a VR game which using an EEG headset measures a player's boredom levels. The more bored the player, the more points rewarded.Â
