MA work

MA work

I am interested in the tension between opposite forces; between the future and the past, between the natural and unnatural. Creatively, I like to walk the line between beauty and ugliness because this is where the exciting stuff happens.

This collection was inspired by the horrific facial injuries of World War I, where recognisable features were distorted and made abstract. I have taken other beautiful and natural forms like horses and birds and combined their organic forms with geometric shapes to create powerful graphics.

My work is often technique based. I am interested in the craft and the process. I am only interested in original clothing of high quality.
