Beneath a Double Sign: Philosophy, Poetics, Politics & the Inverted Comma
A literary-critical analysis of the use of the inverted comma within mid 20th century conceptions of nihilism, psychoanalysis and deconstruction. The ethos of the study rests on the necessity to maintain and develop a «hermeneutics of suspicion» in tandem with a poetic appreciation of critical thought, extended to the aesthetic, aural, rhetorical and conceptual effects of its punctuation. It sets the inverted comma into a relation with broad philosophical inclinations, namely metaphysic's inherence within nihilism and visa versa.
