Mirage
My current collection, Mirage, is inspired by scaffolding that consists of highly organised and planned structural objects, and the parts that are used in connecting pipes. I believe that the basic role of my jewellery is to temporarily support the human body and mind, in a similar way that scaffolding supports a building. These current pieces express my take on this principle, as they share similar aspects and configuration. While playful, the collection also takes into consideration my view on aesthetics in buildings, jewellery and the wearer.

I am a jewellery designer and maker who grew up in Korea and is now based in London.Â
I design wearable, classy and witty jewellery; pieces that each contain different functions. I believe that computing skills are now an essential part of a jewellery designers toolkit, alongside traditional hand skills. I have studied various software programmes such as Rhino, Photoshop and Illustrator in order to create delicate but strong visual experiments. I have also studied gemmology during my Batchelor's degree, which helped in my understanding of diamonds and coloured gemstones.Â
