Fools Gold
in this house it had caused the floor to buckle
so the floor was like laminated wood and it hadn’t cracked cause you’d expect it would have just
just burst out of the ground and pushed through the wood but instead the laminate floor had just sort of seemed to like it stretched so it had this huge curve in it like it was rounded almost
and on the curve
well the coffee table was just slightly off of that curve on its side

The act of storytelling is performed, intertwining with the idea of image making itself so that the narrative becomes images in the mind. The story folds and unfolds as the specifics of objects, place and people are assembled and reassembled. The viewer, faced with a first person narrative, is forced to call upon their own visual realm and remake the image within their own mind, so that the space in which the story is told becomes the image.
