Modules of an Artificial Mind
Design of an Artificial Mind
Is it possible to recreate a flow of data that is analogous to the way in which data flows within the human brain? If so, does an artificial mind emerge from the interconnected parts functioning together? Can we then expand on this and utilise this information to unlock further mysteries of the mind?
These are the questions that have formed the basis of my project as I explore the ways in which we can break down the functions of the brain and attempt to rebuild them using the tools we have at our disposal today.Â

As an industrial designer, I have been fuelled by my desire to have a positive impact on the future of humanity but in reality have found this to be more of a secondary objective in the context of most commercial projects. I have subsequently been looking to expand my skillset beyond the design of only objects where real physical limits apply, and have increasingly been exploring the realm of the digital.Â
Taking with me the same design principles and approach that I have to the field of industrial design in which any seemingly foundational concepts can be challenged, I have found myself wandering into the field of artificial intelligence questioning whether it is useful to explore the realm of machine learning from a new perspective.
I am particularly interested in the intersection between AI, psychology and design and believe that the secrets to unlocking the future potential of the human race lies in our ability to collaborate with the machine rather than to control it.Â
