MA work
In my work I am dealing with spaces and objects that once represented the ideology and power structures of Tito’s regime in former Yugoslavia. The spaces that I have been photographing are closed to the public, unused and left to decay. They represented the country’s ideology of self- contained socialism, as well as a unity between nations that does not exist anymore. As part of a generation that experienced the break-up of Yugoslavia in the 90s, this work is a personal exploration of my country’s recent history.
