MA work

MA work

My recent work employs the skill of throwing. I am interested in product design, and I am inspired by architecture, furniture, medieval armour, leather, metal and paper. I allow the forms to develop through their construction, cutting and manipulating the clay and allowing the seams to reveal the making.

My focus is on functional designs that exist in the realm of utility. I want people to experience handling the work and most importantly to use it in their everyday lives.
