Salt House
Salt House is an intimate portrait of Alper as he's grown old and returns to his home and native Cyprus. As the documentary follows him through daily life in Cyprus the story of his heritage and his personal account of the conflict there unfolds.
He recounts memories of before and after the island was divided, and explores his own identity and the distinction between solitude and loneliness. The film, made by his daughter, follows him as he remembers his past and how its been passed down through generations, while remaining very much in the present world that surrounds him.
