The artist sees history as a stream of fragments from which, at each moment, a cultural 'now' is compiled. These compilations, however, are not random, remaining bound to tenacious, embedded cultural structures, which secure a degree of continuity.

Executed in bas-relief, with its inherent in-between quality, the work seeks to embody humans' emergence into a meaning-giving symbolic order, while reflecting upon individuality, conformism, and the lingering power of ideas and (ostensibly abandoned) belief systems.
