Happiness for Yourself/Drop Umbrella
On a rainy day, you can always see broken umbrellas in the streets. Current umbrellas depend on too many joints and parts that make them very fragile. With Drop umbrella, I challenged the current umbrella by creating a temporary surface, a flexible and foldable structure that depends on material properties rather than hinges and joints. It offers a simple alternative to the complex structure of common umbrellas. When opened it has a unique organic shape with a surprising opening and closing movement. When it is closed it takes a flat disk shape.
