‘Cleanliness is next to godliness.’

This project involves interactivity in public spaces by designing a range of products and audio-visual installations displayed in toilets. With this intervention, I want to break away from mechanical actions related to cleanliness. Symbolic gestures, objects and images will play a particular role in the actions of cleaning. The presence of symbolism will affect people’s attitudes, and cleaning will become more of a ritual through gesture. The objects manipulate the way people perform these daily actions.
