MA work
My work is concerned with exploring form through scale, colour, texture and material. I am interested in how these elements can inform our perception and understanding of objects. Scale and the space an object occupies have a significant role in determining our relationship with it. Colour, whether bright, soft or intense, has a powerful effect in defining its character. Texture invites us to examine the tactile qualities of the surface, and the role this has in influencing our ability to read and comprehend it. This is further emphasised when choosing the material: solid, dense ceramics or translucent glass.
