Annie’s practice investigates the curiosity in the physical and intangible. Fascinated by things that have a physical presence but can also be elusive, her research explores the still and the animate. Annie’s MA work investigates a series of actions; to inhale and to exhale and to appear and disappear. These actions are conveyed through methodical exploration of material and process and are often documented through film. Her research presents experiments that invite playful dialogues between contrasting surfaces, as well as human and material.
