Finding an Ugol
This concept found its birth in the heat of the Ukrainian crisis. Russians would be seen as terrorists and blamed for their country’s political attitudes whenever an opportunity would come up.
'Ugol' in Russian means two things: 'coal' and 'corner'. 'Coal' stands for the ash that comes with the overwhelming power of war and 'corner' would be a place of peace, surrender, tranquility and comfort that shapes my memories of home.
Elegant silhouettes, elongated shapes, sophisticated nudes and play on ethnical patterns in a very subtle illusive way are the ingredients to the story.
