MA work
MA work
My current collection of work explores the perception and utilisation of domestic silver. I invite the user to question how they interact with the piece, and encourage them to re-examine their own pre-conceptions given the material and unexpected form. My work deals with the conspicuous use of decoration and pattern, and how it can serve as an indicator of repeated use. The duality of my work ensures its adaptability to suit the domestic and social environment.
Upon graduation I intend to set up my own practice as a self-employed designer-silversmith.
