In my work I meticulously stage dramas reminiscent of fables or fairytales. We see foxes float, birds captured mid-flight, a figure clasping a deer gazing into darkness.
Using the genre of the 'wildlife photograph' as a motif, the role of the photograph and our desire for such imagery are questioned.
Animals are illuminated by unnatural light; dramatised. The landscape becomes a stage, but the narrative is unclear.
