MA work

MA work

I am trying to understand how I can use principles from graphic design and typography, and make them influence my fashion practice.

By looking at fragmented garments in motion, I am taking stills from this investigation in order to find proportionally pleasing lines on the body. These moments were then translated into wearable pieces, as well as installation pieces.

  • In general, I believe the most important aspects in my work are a conceptual approach to garment making and thinking, which is mostly developed and shown in a performative matter. Also my interest in understanding ideas and techniques in dressmaking, which I am, in terms of lines and finishings, developing and challenging with my previous education in graphic design, as an integral part of my practice.
