This Air
This Air is the filmed dance and music composition – part memoir, part fictional narrative combining past, present and future. It is a manifestation of forgiveness and a mystery of rebirth, inspired by the warmth of autumn colours and the seasonal movements of cranes. The cyclical movement of nature is translated into continuous, cyclical hand gestures – the unravelling of the yarn of a cocoon, fingers running across the top of a glass harp rim, and hand winding a music box, all in synch to unfold the story.
