Adelaide Tam

MA work

I intend to create a series of portable sculptural containers/objects by using high-performance materials, such as carbon fibre and taking inspiration from animal shapes. This collection is designed to experiment with crossing the boundaries between sculpture, fashion accessories and product design.

  • My previous training in Fashion Accessories before I moved into Design Products, in addition to my background in music and humanity, allows me to express myself through various facets of design. This can be seen in my drive to embody fluidity and complexity in my works.  Every layer of complexity and intricacy represents a facet of where I am from, reflecting the little ethos of mine that design is an unequivocal plane that tells us who we are.
