Work is meticulously crafted by hand and through the photographic; intensities of making are negated, presenting awkward viewpoints that become difficult to locate. Through the use of banal materials and processes, there exists space for the poetic as well as humour and irony. The dichotomy between the heightened presence of the artist in the making, and the notable absence of a truthful narrative is played out. Autonomous photographs perceived as objects; retaining elements of the site-specific and site-responsive.
