MA work
The familiar, the everyday, the things that we take for granted; Adam Christian Graddon’s work plays on our understanding of the symbolism, signs, superstitions and heritage contained within the objects that surround us. Adam composes ‘cabinets of curiosities’ with a contemporary twist. His combination of the found and slip-cast representations taken from the real and the everyday aim to evoke a questioning towards the objects on display — how these objects came to be, for what reasons they are composed in the manner they are — in many ways challenging the storyteller within us all.
