GOOSE PIMPLES LIVE PERFORMANCE
LIVE ARTÂ
A SECOND SKIN, THAT TRACES THE PATH OF CONSCIOUSNESS.
RESPECTING THE ENERGY FLOWS THAT OOZE BENEATH.
PIGMENTED SILICONE REPLICATES SKIN, IT RUNS THROUGH THE CREVICES OF THE BODY, IT IS SEAMLESS, IT MOULDS WITHOUT LIMIT. IT TRACES THE ENERGY OF OUR BODIES AND MAPS OUT OUR MARMA POINTS. POINTS THAT ACTIVATE OUR INNER PHARMACY. As`
LIKE A HEALING JUIUCE THAT MOULDS OUR PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS, COULD SILICONE SKINS BE DESIGNED FOR NUTRITIONAL INTAKE?
SILICONE LIVE REVEALS THE PROCESS.
AN OPEN DOOR TO THE GLOOP, THE GUNGE, THE PIGMENTS AND THE JUIUCE.
THESE ARE THEIR BODIES, THIS IS THEIR AURA AND THIS IS THEIR FREEDOM.
IN THE SAME WAY OUR BODIES COEXIST AND INTERACT WITH THE EARTH, MY PERFORMERS LET THEIR AURAS SPEAK WITH THE HEALING SOUNDS OF THE DIDGERIDOO AND THE SURROUNDING SPACE.Â
SOULS SPEAK IN THE COMFORT OF THEIR SKIN. NAKEDNESS IS FLOURISHED FREEDOM. STRIPPED BARE, OUR MYSTIC DOORS ARE OPENED. MOVEMENT ENERGY COLOUR THAT OOZES OUTWARDS FROM WITHIN.
WE DONT HAVE TO CONFINE TO EXISTING SYSTEMS.
LIVE ART HAS NO BOUNDARIES OF SELF. IT IS WITHOUT RULES.Â
THE SMUDGE, THE DRIP, THE CRUMBLE.
THIS IS THE INTENSITY IN WHICH I SEE.

Abbie Stirrup is a designer and performer, exploring expressive, performance wear. Abbie found the combination between performance, movement and art to be at the core of her expression. Often using her own body as the canvas, exploring how the body can be enhanced directly on the skin.
During her time at Royal College of Art Abbie attempted to challenge formal fashion process through performance and spatial design. Throughout this journey Abbie has applied her design vision to various fields, including a second skin body suit for Adidas. This led to her being invited to attend the recently established Creator Farm in Brooklyn, to explore and influence the future of sportswear innovation.
For Abbie’s RCA graduating collection she has crafted the ideology of S T I R. A garish neon pallet, utilizing a visual language that moves beyond our current understanding of human body identification, into a uniquely designed world of freedom and expression.
