Yoshika joined the V&A/RCA MA in 2013 following her degree in Contemporary Design History Diploma at Sotheby’s Institute of art and her Sociology degree from International Christian University. Through her previous studies and experience in the UK, her interest moved to how East Asian Design, in particular Japanese Design, and the Design in the ‘West’ interact with each other. Her current research interest lies in analysing the practice of wrapping and knotting from a design perspective.
