The overlap between design and science is a big place that always allows one to surprise the other.
mixes my previous experience as a scientist with my new-found design freedom to manoeuvre and work with the elements of our world. It asks what, if designers could design to such a precision, we lived in a world without mechanical hinges, materials that are soft yet supporting, structures that float like clouds. The microscopic as inspiration for products in our world has always been a subject that has fascinated me – and through our current tools I intend to explore it.
