BEYOND: A caring service for humanitarian aid workers

Suggested by recent research, humanitarian aid workers face numerous mental health and psychosocial challenges, many of them have experienced depression, anxiety or burnout as they work over time, have language barriers, face frequent changes in project, feel insecurity, lack of communication with friends and relatives, and live in poor conditions.

BEYOND is an app-based service for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international humanitarian-aid non-governmental organisation which deliver healthcare in extreme environments, it aims to reduce stress level for humanitarian aid workers by strengthen peer-to-peer support and self-reflective learning amongst staffs. It offers pre-deployment support, ongoing support, end of mission support and alumni support for different stages of users.
