Daniel Swann

MA work

Energy and the need for alternative forms to sustain our future demands is of growing concern. Utilising micro, localised solutions can help to create a macro solution. Adopting desirable behaviours and playful interactions to transfer kinetic energy into electrical energy can help contribute and provide energy that is non-reliant on the ‘connection’ to the ‘grid system’.

My work combines the use of innovative materials and processes, merged with elements of craftsmanship to address psychological and behavioural aspects, in order to provide products that offer a genuine need, solution and benefit upon existing and new product typologies.
