András Szalai

MA work

In my degree work, I am creating new media for musical self expression. With today’s limitless technology, the value of digitally fabricated and digitally distributed artefacts is questionable.

Therefore, in my process, I am constantly using technology in a deliberately limited manner, to create additional value for artistic expression. I believe smartly applied self-constraints are invaluable for innovation. By limiting one aspect of thinking and discovering previously unknown dimensions, whole new disciplines and subcultures can emerge.
