Show RCA 2019

Yuhan Zhou

Show RCA work

Major project:

Dream Talk

With the background of a textile designer from Royal College of Art, Yuhan Zhou, loves to capture a sense of memory and bring it to her work. The selected works are inspired by ‘dream talks’ from scary dreams.

In Sigmund Freud’s theory, dreams are expressions of desire; they are amplified versions of the subconscious mind. They are the shadow of our daily life. By editing a video of shadow puppets from scary ‘dream talks’, Yuhan Zhou aims to make the dreams alive and raise audiences' thinking; 'how do you know your life is real and that dreams are dreams? Maybe real life is only dreams.'
