Major project:

Alive

'Biophilia' is a term based on the hypothesis that we, as humans, have the innate urge to affiliate with other forms of life and life-like processes. Isha's project attempts to bring this affiliation with nature into the built environment, conceptualising potential architectural interventions, which prompt the occupants to connect with the space around them.

Through her material practice, she aims to create living material spaces that are in harmony with the human rhythms and routines, as well as nature’s cycles and temperaments. Thus aiming to bring nature, humans, and our built spaces into one rhythmic cycle.

Info

  • As a research led and process driven practice, Isha's work evaluates the role our built material environment plays in our everyday life; and how we could integrate these material elements as part of our daily routine and rhythms.
