Major project:
UHWEAR
UHWEAR (pronounced 'aware'), meaning 'Unlimited Humane Wear' started with the aim and urgency to find unconventional solutions to environmental issues related to the increasing consumer demand for new clothes.Â
During my IDE final solo project I developed a sustainable and biodegradable material as an alternative for synthetic textile vinyl.
UHWEAR's mission is to reduce the environmental impact caused by the print on demand industry, and especially the pollution caused by textile vinyl. UHWEAR has various potential applications within the fashion industry. UHWEAR's wider proposition is to develop a tangible service and innovative business model with the potential to reshape the increasing consumer's demand for new designs and garments.Â
