Major project:

RE:Source is a tool that connects businesses that produce waste, such as coffee grounds or used tires, with other businesses that can turn those materials into new products, like biofuels, bioplastics or handbags. RE:Source also serves as a clearing house of ideas and information for entrepreneurs who want to want to build businesses that reuse the (free!) waste materials other companies need to get rid of. RE:Source seeks to improve the environment by improving the bottom line, and bringing more companies into the circular economy.

  • A sustainability enthusiast, applying circular economy principles to a variety of design contexts.

I believe in culturally sensitive design, and that one size does not fit all. My interests in sustainability and materials management arose from my experiences living, studying and working in China, Egypt, India, UK, US and Singapore. My explorations into sustainability range from material and social, to systemic and service. I strive to find implementable solutions to our current environmental predicaments.
