Culina – A Sustainable Office Kitchen Solution, Alison P. O'Reilly 2019
Major project:
Culina – A Sustainable Office Kitchen Solution
Culina offers a product service system alternative to the harmful, linear, make-use-dispose cycle of typical architectural joinery in commercial office environments. The solution is expressed through a three-branched approach – an innovative and circular design, business model, and material strategy.

Alison P. O’Reilly is interested in the intersection between aesthetics and ethics. Her research explores the role of style in sustainable design of the built environment; and how these aspects might be affected by the growing field of generative design.
As a practitioner, Alison’s ambition is to develop and deliver innovative, environmentally sustainable and socially responsible design solutions, in the most beautiful way possible, for application within the built environment.
Before joining global innovation design (GID), a joint MA/MSc masters programme at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, Alison spent ten years leading commercial interior design projects for a wide range of commercial clients in both Canada and the UK.
