Crafting the Paradisial Erotic
This work is intended as a gift for someone I admire. A romantic gesture envisioned as an ideal that can be given, a paradise of total consideration and control in the form of a contained room-space. A room and an atmosphere made with the intention to provide a perfection.
'Paradise is a strange land, but a familiar presence. Few have been there, but many people have an idea of what it is like. As a garden at one end of time and a city at the other, paradise is in one sense remote from worldly concerns.'

Taking influence from highly detailed and decorative architectural structures this collection utilises intricate and repetitive techniques of construction to create a gift of labour, dedication and love.

Maker of intricately handcrafted knitwear. An obsessive inclination and love of repetitive detailing led me to create laborious and decorative garments, with the intention that they may be treated as a gift.
The work must show a ‘surrendering of what is to ourselves desirable’.
