Major project:

Tomorrow Together

This sofa is designed to respond to social isolation in older adults. As an exemplar object of the research topic, I hope it can stimulate intergenerational interactions between preschoolers and elders, for healthy ageing and growth in the rise of intergenerational housing.

The sedentary behaviour of seniors has been interrupted by the introduction of an organic intuitive playground. One can bring another a sense of joy and purpose through moments of skill sharing, storytelling, and playing. Our society has become more segregated by age than ever before.

I hope this project can orchestrate a conversation about how we can care/design for the elderly of today, and brighten the days of the seniors of tomorrow. Let’s dream about better lives for our future selves; where we look forward to ageing.

  • Having lived in different countries has fostered a curiosity for people of all ages, abilities, behaviours, and cultures. I want to dedicate my skills to solving problems and create lasting social and environmental impact. I hope my design can orchestrate a dialogue that makes a difference in this fast-changing world.
