Major project:

My ongoing education research focuses on inclusivity and acceptance. I am introducing communication tools to change the common understanding of cognitive disability and to redefine norms. By norms, I am talking about behaviours and stereotypes a vast majority of people have about neurodiverse people. This common understanding can come from ignorance or a lack of knowledge. In a society where normality rules, I’m using practical experience to elicit testimonies and introduce and make visible a way of processing information many people don’t understand.

During my journey at the Royal College of Art, I have organised different workshops – sometimes through collaboration – building student-led spaces where ideas can grow and spontaneous encounters are encouraged. I also work on print-based experimentations and publishing in my design practice. A publication is a powerful tool of communication and a platform for conversations. Based on my dissertation, questioning the impact of digital in typography, I’ve explored the meaning of type design as a practice of single authorship.

  • My research-based practice aims at building a bridge between graphic design and socio-political engagement. I’m exploring how visual communication can create a platform to activate dialogue, challenge preconceived norms or beliefs, and impact our social and political understanding in a public and private sphere.
