Show RCA 2019

Show RCA work

Major project:

Bad News

A series of images exploring the way modern day 'villains' are presented in tabloid newspapers. We are lead to believe that we are surrounded by monsters; however, this is an overblown view of what society is actually like. Tabloid news stories are throwaway, the villain of today could easily change tommorow.

  • I am an illustrator whose practice revolves around drawing. Drawing for me is a way of interpreting the world around me by constructing narratives and imagery, which live purely in the imaginative sphere. In a drawn space, reality can be emphasised, exaggerated, and played with.

Fairytales, monsters, and the everyday form parts of my work. Through my images, I aim to reflect my own thoughts on the way we live and the stories we tell.
